The Animated Series' Showrunner Is Aware of Fans' Season 2 Predictions — And She Has Positive Updates

The highly-awaited second season of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel arrives on the streaming platform soon, and fan speculation has been rampant.

The first season presents a large cast of personalities residing in Hell and Heaven, sets them at odds accompanied by songs detailing their conflicts, and builds tense rivalries and emotional bonds that fuel audience devotion.

The fandom's stated hopes for season 2 differ greatly, but certain themes recur frequently: Could Angel Dust break free from Valentino? Might we learn more about the mysterious "deal" affecting the enigmatic Alastor? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Naturally, I don't produce the show with audience demands specifically in mind," the creator stated earlier this year. "However I feel like me being a devotee of the series implies there's a lot of it just inherently. I also want to see these things, and I hope some of these things to occur, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She says her long-term vision is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have already been green-lit by Prime Video and A24, which produce the series.

That could imply fans have to be patient for some of the major resolutions — but they could be shocked at how quickly season 2 moves, and how many of what they're waiting for happens now.

"I believe people are going to get a lot out of it," she adds. "We get some firsts. I think we get some really amazing reveals, some really cool origin tales, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience additional musical numbers from the previously silent cast members."

The creator is well-informed of the guesses and hopes about season 2 — particularly in the form of audience prediction charts.

"I've seen a few fans create a bingo card about the new season," she mentions. "Obviously I can't post it, but I've actually done a few items, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 launches on the streaming service on October 29.
