Nineteen of Medvedev's 21 victories have been earned on hardcourt
A revitalized Medvedev secured his first championship for over two years with victory over Frenchman Moutet in the competition title decider.
The Russian, a former number one, has endured a difficult period, winning just one match at the Grand Slams and undergoing a meltdown at the New York tournament.
Medvedev's unpredictability on the professional circuit - and difficulties with his service game in particular - resulted in him dropping out of the world's top 10 and ultimately splitting with long-time trainer Cervara.
Presently training with his coach and Goetzke, the tennis star has consistently improved in the last few weeks - climaxing in a tightly fought three-set win over Frenchman Moutet.
It is his maiden title following the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hard court since March of the previous year.
The win also indicates he has won 21 titles at 21 distinct competitions.
"This marks the first occasion I'm at a competition with my two daughters together, so to win a trophy is especially meaningful," commented ranked player the champion.
"This title is in tribute of my younger daughter her name, because the maiden victory I achieved when my first daughter my daughter was delivered was for her."
The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had lost his last six championship matches, comprising in that event previously this season.
Medvedev's retrieving approach and recurring outbursts on court had caused some to wonder if his ability to compete at the top level was finished.
However the player has altered his approach in the last few weeks, making an effort to advance forward and compete aggressively, supported by an improved serve.
He recovered from a deficit in the initial set against the tricky Moutet, securing 4 of the last five games to go ahead.
The competitors traded break points in the following set before Moutet, attempting for his first professional victory, took control to create a third set.
Moutet saved 4 early-game break points in a competitive final set before the Russian won the break to that score to close out the victory.
Fittingly, the winner clinched the title with a rally at the net area, with Moutet unable to manage a shot after two hours and 38 minutes.
